The frequency and severity of extreme weather events appear to be increasing, whether they come in the form of floods, tornados, hurricanes, typhoons, hail, damaging winds, drought, or wildfires. The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (“NOAA”) stated that 2020 is the sixth year in a row that the U.S. experienced 10 or more billion-dollar storms, and the tenth storm occurred earlier than ever this year.1
